Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Liyo (“Liyo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Liyo platform, website, mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Liyo. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the Service and that they have read and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

By using Liyo, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the minimum age requirement described above;
• You have the legal capacity and authority to enter into these Terms;
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction; and
• All information you provide to Liyo is accurate, complete, and current.

Liyo reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our sole discretion.

Certain features of the Service require you to register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up to date.

You are solely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials;
• All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it;
• Immediately notifying Liyo of any suspected unauthorised use of your account.

Liyo cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations. You may not transfer your account to another person. Each person may hold only one account.

Liyo allows users to submit, post, and share questions, answers, polls, comments, and other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights you hold in your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant Liyo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to submit the User Content;
• Your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• Your User Content complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines; and
• Your User Content does not contain viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

Liyo does not endorse, support, or guarantee the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or usefulness of any User Content. You acknowledge that any reliance on User Content is at your own risk.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
• Post, upload, or distribute content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights;
• Collect, harvest, or store personal data about other users without their explicit consent;
• Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service or its servers;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Service or related systems;
• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the Service without our prior written consent;
• Post spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited commercial messages;
• Promote or facilitate illegal activities of any kind;
• Share, solicit, or promote content involving the sexual exploitation of minors;
• Dox, reveal, or threaten to reveal another person's private information;
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose other than through channels expressly permitted by Liyo.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination, removal of content, and/or referral to law enforcement authorities.

Liyo uses automated artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools to review User Content for compliance with these Terms and our Community Guidelines before and after publication. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI moderation is imperfect and may make errors, including false positives (blocking acceptable content) and false negatives (permitting violating content);
• Liyo does not guarantee that all harmful, inaccurate, or inappropriate content will be detected or removed;
• AI processing of your content may involve transmission to third-party AI service providers;
• Moderation decisions may be made without human review; and
• Liyo's use of AI moderation does not transform Liyo into a publisher or speaker of User Content.

Liyo exercises moderation at its sole discretion and is not obligated to remove, retain, or explain decisions regarding any particular piece of content.

Liyo is designed to allow anonymous participation. However, you understand and agree that:

• Anonymity is not absolute. Technical data including IP addresses, browser identifiers, and usage metadata may be logged. We may disclose this information in response to lawful legal process.
• You remain legally responsible for all content you submit, even if submitted anonymously;
• Liyo is not liable for any harm arising from your decision to share personal information about yourself or others on the platform; and
• Liyo may be required by law to cooperate with authorities and disclose information about users who violate the law.

The Service may display third-party advertisements. Liyo is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of any third-party advertisements. Your interactions with advertisers, including payment and delivery of goods or services, are solely between you and the advertiser.

Advertisers on Liyo agree to a separate Advertiser Terms of Service and must comply with all applicable laws. Liyo reserves the right to remove any advertisement at its sole discretion and without liability to the advertiser.

Liyo is not an advertising agency and makes no guarantees regarding the performance or results of any advertising campaign run through the Service.

The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other materials created by or for Liyo (excluding User Content), is owned by Liyo or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in or to the Service or Liyo's intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written consent.

The Liyo name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of Liyo. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.

Liyo respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a notice containing the following information to our designated agent:

• A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
• Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it on the Service;
• Your contact information (address, telephone number, email);
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised; and
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-notifications and repeat infringer policy details are available by contacting Liyo. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided solely for convenience. Liyo does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website or service. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to those parties' own terms and policies.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Liyo expressly disclaims all warranties including, without limitation:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components;
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the Service;
• Warranties that defects will be corrected; and
• Warranties that the Service meets your requirements or expectations.

Liyo does not warrant or guarantee any specific results from use of the Service. User Content represents the views of individual users and does not reflect the views of Liyo.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WONDER, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES;
• LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES; OR
• DAMAGES ARISING FROM UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN.

These limitations apply whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if Liyo has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, Liyo's liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. In any event, Liyo's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to Liyo in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty dollars (USD $50).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Liyo and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; or (e) any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.

Liyo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting Liyo. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately;
• Liyo may, but is not obligated to, delete your account data; and
• Liyo may retain User Content and data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

Arbitration: To the extent permitted by law, any unresolved dispute shall be submitted to binding individual arbitration rather than resolved in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. This arbitration provision does not apply to claims for injunctive or equitable relief to protect intellectual property rights.

If arbitration is found to be unenforceable, you agree that any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such court.

Liyo may update these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Liyo's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
